ZIVAN, a key player in the electrification of industrial vehicles, proudly participated in the V AECE Convention held on May 29, 2025, at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao. This prestigious event, organized by the Asociación de Empresas de Carretillas Elevadoras (AECE), brought together the most influential stakeholders in the Spanish forklift and material handling industry, including OEMs, battery suppliers, and technology innovators.
A Strategic Presence for ZIVAN and Varelec
ZIVAN’s presence at AECE 2025 was not only a showcase of its cutting-edge charging solutions but also a strategic move to support Varelec, its long-standing partner and dealer in Spain and Portugal. Varelec, with a solid footprint in electrification solutions for industrial vehicles, has been a ZAPI GROUP partner for more than twenty years. Their joint presence at the convention reinforced their commitment to the Spanish market and highlighted their role in shaping the future of electric mobility in logistics, airports, and industrial applications.

Complete Architecture for Electric Traction
The central theme of ZIVAN’s presentation was the “Complete Architecture Offering for Electric Traction in Material Handling”. The session, led by Sebastián González, Marco Saccani, and Luca Vezzadini from ZIVAN, alongside Carlos García from NCPower, emphasized ZAPI GROUP’s comprehensive portfolio:
- Electric Motors and Controllers
- Onboard and Offboard Battery Chargers (ranging from 350W to 72kW)
- Autonomous Navigation Software
- System Integration Capabilities
A key differentiator for ZIVAN is its integration within the ZAPI GROUP Charging Solutions division, which combines the expertise and capabilities of ZIVAN and Delta-Q Technologies, a Canadian company also part of the group. This synergy allows ZAPI GROUP to offer a complete and complementary range of charging solutions, from compact onboard chargers to high-power offboard systems, all designed to meet the evolving needs of electrified industrial vehicles.
ZIVAN’s chargers, known for their modularity, global compliance, and lithium-ion compatibility, were a highlight. The SG3, XV3300, and CT3.3 models, stackable up to 19.8kW, drew particular interest for their flexibility and performance in demanding industrial environments.
Spotlight on Innovation: Partnership with NCPower
One of the most talked-about moments of the event was the promotion of ZIVAN’s partnership with NCPower for lithium retrofit solutions. NCPower, a specialist in high-performance lithium batteries, recently launched its MH Series, tailored for material handling applications. This collaboration aims to deliver turnkey lithium battery solutions (24V–120V) that combine ZIVAN’s charging expertise with NCPower’s battery innovation—an offering that resonated strongly with attendees.
Looking Ahead
While the full takeaways from AECE 2026 are still being consolidated, the event clearly marked a milestone for ZIVAN’s visibility and influence in the Spanish market. The convention’s format—blending business, networking, and cultural immersion—provided the perfect backdrop for ZIVAN to reinforce its mission: Electrifying the Future.
